Veterinary Physiotherapy involves the application of massage, passive and active range of motion stretches, and exercise prescription, which target an improved function in the musculoskeletal, circulatory, respiratory and nervous systems, to be able to perform at its best. In addition, Electrotherapy may be incorporated into the physiotherapy treatment plan, in order to enhance the healing of targeted areas.

Whilst working in partnership with Veterinary Surgeons, Remedial Farriers, Saddle Fitters, and other veterinary professionals, rehabilitation of the whole animal can be developed and supported, to achieve the most optimum results.
In accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 (sections 19 & 20) and the Veterinary Surgeons (Exemptions) Order 2015 (sections 19.19 & 19.20), all adjunctive animal treatments, such as physiotherapy, can only be carried out under veterinary referral from the Veterinary Surgeon. Therefore, referral from your Veterinary Surgeon must be obtained before physiotherapy treatment can commence. Enabling the most beneficial treatments to be decided upon under the guidance of your Veterinary Surgeon.
